The compound

Exemestane is a steroidal aromatase inhibitor that binds the enzyme irreversibly, so the body has to produce new aromatase to recover activity. It is used in breast cancer therapy and off-label to control oestrogen during a cycle, sometimes preferred for its neutral effect on cholesterol.
