Biphasic isophane insulin injection I.P. is an injectable preparation from Novo Nordisk Labs: human insulin as a ready mix of a soluble, fast-acting part and an isophane part that is absorbed more slowly.

What it is for

Premixed human insulin is prescribed for diabetes, where one injection has to cover both the meal that follows and the hours after it. It is supplied at a strength of 100 IU/mL.
