Megamentin 1000 is produced by Intas Pharmaceuticals containing Amoxicillin (an antibiotic) and Potassium Clavulanate (a beta-lactamase inhibitor) which work together to kill bacteria.

Effect of Augmentin
The Drug works by killing the bacteria that causes infections.
Amoxicillin prevents the growth of bacteria by stopping the formation of the protective layer that is necessary for bacteria to be able to exist.
Potassium Clavulanate reduces the resistance of bacteria, as well as enhances the activity of Amoxicillin.
