Megamentin 375 is produced by Intas Pharmaceuticals containing Amoxicillin (an antibiotic) and Potassium Clavulanate (a beta-lactamase inhibitor) which work together to kill bacteria.
The drug is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections of the:

- Sinus.
- Throat.
- Lung.
- Urinary tract.
- Skin.
- Teeth.
- Joints and bones.
It may also be used to treat acne, caused by bacteria in the skin.
Effect of Augmentin
The Drug works by killing the bacteria that causes infections.
Amoxicillin prevents the growth of bacteria by stopping the formation of the protective layer that is necessary for bacteria to be able to exist.
Potassium Clavulanate reduces the resistance of bacteria, as well as enhances the activity of Amoxicillin.

Using Augmentin 375mg
The required dosage of the drug is 750 - 1125mg per day (2-3 tablets taken evenly spaced apart throughout the day) but entirely depends on your condition and infection. Use the drug until all the symptoms of the infection have disappeared.
If use of the drug is stopped before the infection disappears, the bacteria could become resistant to the drug.
